Plain terms for online fire door survey bookings, Stripe payment and access assumptions.
Online survey assumptions
The online price is for a standard visual fire door survey, also known as a non-intrusive survey. It does not include opening-up, removing architraves, intrusive investigation, repairs, replacement parts, resident liaison, waiting time or return visits.
Online prices assume all doors are in one building, over no more than 5 floors, and can be accessed without delay during the booked survey visit. Doors that cannot be accessed, require waiting time, require a return visit, or are in additional buildings/floors may be charged separately.
Intrusive and repair works
If intrusive investigation is required, this will be quoted separately. Intrusive works may include opening-up, removing architraves, checking concealed areas, inspecting frame/wall gaps or investigating hidden fire stopping.
Survey prices do not include remedial works, replacement ironmongery, replacement seals, glazing, signage, closers, locks, door leaves, frames, decoration or access control works unless specifically quoted.
Payments and data
Online payments are processed by Stripe Checkout. FDS does not store card details. Booking details are stored so FDS can confirm attendance time, access arrangements and survey records. Contact us for privacy requests.
